Take the chance to convince 20 potential investors of your business idea by shortly presenting them your business concept (3-10 minutes). The investors include business angels, venture capitalists and opportunities for crowd funding.
The aim of the Rhein-Neckar Technology Ventures Day is matching investors and start-ups. Key element of the event is bringing together investors and founders and facilitating interaction. Hence, innovative start-ups and young companies get the opportunity to meet well-known venture capitalists and private investors through speed-dating activities. The young entrepreneurs then have the chance to personally talk investors through their business idea and convince the enterprise’s potential success.

All Start Ups, small and medium sized enterprises in Germany are invited to join the Cloud Champions competition on www.cloud-champions.de. Submit your story about the Cloud solutions you are using at work. Cloud solutions are all solutions, where at least parts of the data are not saved locally. Until June 30th 2014 you have the chance to participate and convince a top-class Jury in one of the following three categories:
- Simply working together
- Reduce costs
- Encourage innovative strength
In total prizes worth more than €54.000 will be awarded to the 3 winners in each category. The firsts prize is €10.000, company promotion and vouchers, the second prize is €5.000, company promotion and vouchers, and the third prize is €3.000, company promotion and vouchers. Until recently, investigating the role of emotions in business has been confined to the marketing area. However, by now it is increasingly being seen that emotions can play an important part during the whole process of a products creation and usage. For example, the issues of "user experience" and "emotional design" have become rampant in discussions about software solution design. But not only the product itself, also its creation, selection, contract design and customer service create emotions that should be taken into consideration!
In order to take on this exciting developments, the Initiative "Usability in Germany" has decided to devote its upcoming spring conference to the topic "Managment of Emotions". On the 2nd of April, scholars and business representatives will come together at the TECHNOSEUM Mannheim to discuss how one might focus ones product experience design more on the customers emotions.
