The Junior Accelerator is a one-year program that supports young entrepreneurs in realizing their founding plans. At this point, it has reached its half time – a good time for some initial conclusions.
The Junior Accelerator Baden-Württemberg is being financed by the Ministerium für Finanzen und Wirtschaft Baden-Württemberg – ifex – and organized by the MCEI. It allows junior entrepreneurs to pursue the business ideas that they developed before. The 20 participants had previously taken part in different founding contests for pupils. During the two bootcamps that have taken place yet, they were able to experience the importance of the aspects personality and team and learn about human centered innovation. Furthermore, the topics market research, marketing, business models, business plan and financial planning were explained by designated experts.
The first session took place in Stuttgart, while the second bootcamp was set in Freiburg. This autumn, the program will continue in Mannheim, where the final business plans will be presented in front of a jury, which will also evaluate the quality of the presented pitches. After the successful completion of the program, the founders will receive certificates. We are also initiating mentoring partnerships, where experienced entrepreneurs or industry experts will share their knowledge with the young participants.
