As part of their MAN 633 Entrepreneurial Spirit Course Fabian Wolff and Manuel Sendagorta teamed up with Istari.ai to develop a webAi model that is able to assess SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) commitment towards sustainability. A particular outcome was to find out systematically whether and how SMEs are “greening”. The project was part of a cooperation between Uni Mannheim and Istari.ai for the OECD.

Istari.ai was founded in 2019 and specializes in AI-based analysis of company websites and other company-related web data. The founders David Lenz and Jan Kinne worked together in a research project on web-based innovation indicators during their time as PhD students. That led to the idea of groundbreaking AI analysis. Still Istari.ai has strong ties to the scientific community.
