For a guest lecture, SAP will send two professionals to the University of Mannheim to talk about the future strategy of the software cooperation.

Johannes Wöhler from SAP’s Corporate Strategy Group team will talk about global market trends in enterprise software as well as SAP’s current “run simple” strategy. He will also provide details on SAP’s HANA technology platform as well as SAP’s current approach to transition from on-premise to cloud.

Jörg Bruch, COO of SAP’s Industry Cloud division, will give insights into one major product development area that is currently implementing SAP’s strategy towards cloud-based applications leveraging HANA capabilities. Moreover, he will discuss the pros and cons of applying Design Thinking, Lean Management and Agile Software Engineering in his product portfolio as well as issues when it comes to scaling.

The concept of "usability" is all about making things more easy, comfortable and efficent to use. To implement this concept in practice instead of just talking about it, the initiative Mittelstand Digital will host the upcoming fair "Easy and intuitive - Usability for SMEs" completely virtual! All participants can simply join via the internet and save the arrival costs and time.

SMEs that are interested in the concept are invited to join for free consulting and information. Furthermore, all experts and and interested parties may inform themselves about the newest research results. The fair will contain virtual stands with information materials and the opportunity to pose and discuss questions. There will also be keynotes from usability experts, followed by discussions via group or video chat.
