Founder Characteristics
Dr. Josef Packowski is co-founder and Managing Partner of CAMELOT Management Consultants AG. He co-founded the company in 1996 as the European subsidiary of the CAMELOT International Group. After graduating in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim, Dr. Packowski pursued his PhD at the university of Saarbrücken in the field of pharmaceutical economics while simultaneously working in the chemicals industry and later for the organizational consultancy IDS Scheer. Dr. Packowski has been able to gain a lot of experience in the area of production planning and controlling and supply chain management and development within his 20 years of professional experience. His special area of expertise lies in creating and technologically implementing ‘LEAN Supply Chain Management’ concepts. The LEAN SCM concept enables companies from the process industries to harmonize production and replenishment planning across their entire global supply chain with close linkages to organizational processes and IT infrastructure. It is designed expressly to simplify existing planning processes and to improve the synchronization and variability management of global supply chains.
