The Berlin–based AI–startup Workist, until recently known as outsmart.ai, got a seed–funding of 2.3 Million Euro. It was co-founded by former Uni Mannheim and MCEI alumni Alexander Müller. Investors were 468 Capital, LEA Partners and Angel Investor Marc Schauenburg.

Using the AI–based “AI Worker” Workist is a offering a platform solution for the automatisation of administrative office tasks. The core challenge of their field is to standardise also tricky data as in PDF-files.

With the income from the latest VCs Workist plans to further pursue the introduction of their platform. Furthermore, building up their team, client acquisition and marketing are their current challenges. “Since we successfully evaluated our product in the past 12 months, we are now looking forward to offer Workist to a broader range of clients.” stated Alexander Müller, co-founder and managing director. Already now their platform is used by big shots like Deutsche Bahn but also many SMEs.

“As investors we are really impressed by the technological knowledge of the founding team and the speed with which they were getting their product market-ready.” summarised Ludwig Ensthaler the recent success, founder and partner at 468 Capital. “AI and machine learning will top everything, what is nowadays seen as productivity. We are absolutely convinced, that Workist has the potential, to automatise the back office a 100 %. Also I consider as given, that every company will rely on these solutions in future times. As a technology investor we are proud to share the way of Workist from the start.”

Workist, formerly known as outsmart.ai, was founded in 2019 Tim Wegner, Alexander Müller and Dr. Fabian Borsig in Berlin. The experienced founder team already set up the big data analytics startup Minodes before. Minodes was bought in 2017 by Télefonica when it was already hiring about 50 employees.
