refundrebel enforces claims on compensation payments for rail passengers‘ in case of train delays and cancellations towards railway companies on the basis of the European regulation (EC) 1371/2007 (for rail passengers‘ rights and obligations).
With refundrebel, rail passengers‘ are able to verify their claims on compensation payments in case of train delays and cancellations (up to 100% compensation of the ticket price, until 1 year backdated) on the online platform refundrebel.com. refundrebel takes over the whole claiming process with debt collection towards the specific railway company. In case the claim was successful, refundrebel draws a commission of 25% of the compensation payment; in case the claim was not successful, the service is free of charge for the customer. Thus, the customer has no risk of costs, a minimum effort to verify his claim and no „red tape“ with the rail company. This service is being offered in the B2B as well as B2C market.
In general, refundrebel has a unique competitive advantage, due to the usage of modern software technologies (big data analysis, OCR and semantic text analysis, machine learning) in order to highly automate the refund process. Therefore, its possible to process a huge number of claims in an automated way.
