Steffen Wicker is an University of Mannheim Alumnus. Simfy received consulting from MCEI.

Simfy is a german Spotify competitor, which was the first long-term legal music service in Germany in spite of all opposition from the aggressive digital music industry. By using simfy, customers can stream, listen to music, create playlists and network by using social network features. The mobile app also allows comfortable access to music on mobile devices.

The company was founded by two students, Christoph Lange and Steffen Wicker. However, they have exited the company and moved on to other projects.
