The Heidelberg-based Startup GetSafe has been supported by two MAN 633 Inside the Venture projects during the Spring Semester 2018.

Getsafe is one of the fastest growing and most innovative InsurTech Startups in Germany. The company is developing the first digital insurance that is fair by design and transfer the concept of multi-line insurers like Axa or Allianz into the digital age. Their strong growth is supported by Munich Re, one of the largest re-insurers of the world, as well as by strong and leading VC investors, including Rocket Internet, CommerzVentures, and Partech.

The first team helped to upscale the efforts of GetSafe in 2018. To fulfil this aim, Melina Bucher, Yi-Hsuan Iris Peng and Christoph Reissner worked on three marketing components: a referral engine, on-campus marketing, and strategic partnerships, i.e. with the University of Mannheim.

The second team (Ines Burgstahler and Patrick Schumann) supported GetSafe´s product market fit development with a particular focus on customer behaviour of the Generation Y towards liability insurance.

The startup fair is part of the Career Day Entrepreneurship &(Bio)Tech and is organized by the German Cancer Research Center, Heidelberg University and Heidelberg Startup Partners.

The INTEGRA Inside the Venture consulting project at Mint Medical GmbH (a DKFZ spin-off) comprised the development of a multimedial communication strategy. The focus was set on the analysis and preparation of potentially relevant markets as well as clearly defined target groups. In particular, best practices and needs were identified. On the basis of this information, a catalog of measures for the optimal design of the online appearance was developed. Customer workshops were held for target group analyses, evaluation criteria were defined, a social media strategy was prepared and handed over to the customer. A final presentation was held within the management to outline implementation and future implications. The consultants on the Mint Medical project were Dennis Wagner, Jana Kilgus, Hande Gao and Nikolas Kaupke. The project was conducted in Spring Term 2016.

The second career and founder fair for startups aimed at students and graduates will take place on January 22, 2016. It will be hosted by the career service and startup management of the University of Heidelberg in cooperation with the Heidelberg Startup Partners e.V.. More than 20 startups will present themselves as well as their job opportunities. In addition there will be services like startup consultation and coaching for applicants.

This years' motto is 'GET IN Start-Up' is represented by young innovative companies from the local region as well as their aspirations and job opportunities. These job opportunities cover all different areas and internships, as well as working student and full time jobs.
