What does "affiliated with the University of Mannheim" mean?
Who we are & why we are doing this
MCEI is an interdisciplinary and interdepartmental Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the University of Mannheim. MCEI providesa dedicated platform for young entrepreneurs, potential founders, founders, students, sponsors and investors. It has been launched by the ifm (Institut für Mittelstandsforschung, directed by Professor Dr. Michael Woywode) at the University of Mannheim. By publishing foundervstories about startups launched by students/ alumni of the University of Mannheim and about startups that feel strongly associated with the University of Mannheim, the MCEI provides students with information about entrepreneurial opportunities and possible career options. What is more, founders can more easily connect and get a strong platform to present their startup. Our aim is to provide startups with astrong platform to connect and to reveal the impact of the University of Mannheim on the startup scene.

Are there any restrictions on the businesses that can send in their story?
Yes. We are only searching for the Founder Storys of startups that are somehow affiliated to the University of Mannheim, for example:
- The founders study or studied at the University of Mannheim (it's not important, when!)
- The business has been consulted by the MCEI
- Businesses, that have conducted "Inside the Venture" projects together with the MCEI or INTEGRA e.V.
