Green Alley Award

EPC 2018 is a live trans-border pitch up competition across India (Mumbai) and Germany (Heidelberg) for startups designing innovations with a social impact, and translation technologies. Through this event, startups get a platform to pitch their ideas to a wide range of experienced entrepreneurs and investors from India and Germany; seek mentorship from them; publicize their ideas; understand the Indian legalities to set-up their enterprises; and a chance to win cash-prizes. As your incubation-center supports many exciting startups, thus through this mail, we'd like to invite the startups mentored by your centre to apply their ideas to us at EPC 2018.

Why to participate in EPC 2018?

Platform: This event provides a unique platform to present your ideas, or showcase your startup to German and Indian investors; and chance to win cash-prizes.
Seek mentors: Get a chance to have tête-à-tête conversation with seasoned entrepreneurs from both the countries. This is an excellent occasion to seek mentorship for your startups, or get valuable feedback on your ideas. India is the world's third largest consumer market. German startups can tap on this opportunity, seek advise from entrenched entrepreneurs on how to venture into the Indian market and understand the Indian consumer behavior right from the people who have led several successful startups in India.
Understand the legalities to set up your company in India: Officials from the consulate general of India in Germany will be present at the event. German startups that are eager to enter the Indian market can get into contact with the specific authorities so to advance their understanding of the Indian legal system.
Translate your ideas, or learn from others: This is beneficial especially to the startups that would like to franchise their ideas in India.

OGV Entrepreneurship Programme

The OGV Entrepreneurship Programme is a week-long start-up boot camp of practical business training on innovation, IP and entrepreneurship, hosted on the premises of Saïd Business School, Oxford University.

The course is designed to fast-track students to business launch in just a week with our agenda of world-leading business speakers, practical workshops and a final pitch for investment at our PitchFest event. Gründerwettbewerb – Digitale Innovationen

The "Gründerwettbewerb – Digitale Innovationen" is an ideas competition organized by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). There are two rounds of this competition every year. At award ceremonies, the eleven-member jury, comprising experts from business, finance, and science, each award up to six start-up ideas with prizes of up to € 32,000 each. In addition, up to fifteen other start-up ideas receive € 7,000 each. The special prize "Smart Living" of the current round is endowed with 10,000 euros. The award ceremony of the first round of 2018 will take place in autumn at the IFA in Berlin. All participants receive a written assessment of their founding ideas on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and risks.

IUIA Innovation Awards 2018

What is IUIA

International Universities Innovation Alliance (IUIA,国际大学创新联盟) is a Chinese organization, which focuses on connecting young entrepreneurs worldwide to the Chinese market. It launched in 2015 with support from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Technology. Its Mission is to support international start-ups financially and operationally, to accelerate their business and to help them connect with the biggest market in Asia. In Germany, IUIA offers cross-border acceleration services for excellent start-ups. It co- incubates and invests in young entrepreneurs and ideas with great potential on the Chinese market.

 

What is „IUIA Innovation Awards“

A Program: The „IUIA Innovation Awards“ is a „Competition + Boot Camp“ program in a larger sense.
A Label: The „IUIA Innovation Awards“ is a „China Label“. The winning start-ups can show it as a proof of their great potential on the Chinese market.
A Channel: The „IUIA Innovation Awards“ discovers and rewards excellent german start- ups and helps them prosper and grow in an global context. 
2018 IUIA holds its 1st IUIA Innovation Awards in Germany.

Who Can Apply

Start-ups with an academic background(alumni, student, researcher, drop-out...) Regardless of whether you are student or not. Regardless of whether your company is registered or still in establishing.

All start-up teams in Germany that meet the following 3 criteria can apply for the awards:

  1. Interest in Chinese market. Wish to expand into China sooner or later.
  2. Age: under 39
  3. Project in the following 7 categories: Energy / Mobility / Med&Health / Fintech / Artificial Intelligence / Blockchain / Mechanical Engineering in general

Vetter Innovation Challenge

The Vetter Pharma GmbH and the bwcon Innovation Academy invite you to develop new ideas for all injection-related processes in a co-creative process. Using the design thinking innovation method, you will rethink all steps in an interdisciplinary team of students, health workers, developers, and employees.

In the end, there is the prospect of 10,000 euros in prize money for the winning team and the opportunity to continue the idea together with Vetter.

Participation in the innovation process is free. To attend, you do not need any specific prior knowledge. Interested parties can apply until 31.03.2018 at this link. The final selection of participants is expected to be announced at the end of May 2018.
